Happy Thanksgiving NLD!
Can you believe that we are only one short month away from the END of 2020? I feel like we are all waiting with bated breath for this year to finally end. Until then, there are still plenty of things to look forward to, even if they look a bit different this year. Thanksgiving is actually one of my favorite holidays. All the food you can eat, plus an excuse to take a nap immediately after?! (Thanks tryptophan). Sign me up! I hope you all are still able to enjoy delicious food, and say hi to Grandma over Zoom for me.
Speaking of Zoom, TONIGHT NLD and the Trust & Estate Planning Section is co-hosting our November Meetup, a virtual networking mixer with games and prizes! We will be playing “Never Have I Ever” and “Two Truths and a Lie.” So grab a cocktail or mock tail and come meet and mingle with fellow colleagues! Registration for this fun event can be found here.
Another event to put on your calendar is SDCBA’s annual “Stepping Up to the Bar” event on December 11, 2020. This year’s event is 2020 style (meaning virtual). 2020 SDCBA President Johanna Schiavoni will reflect on the new heights we’ve scaled in a year that posed unprecedented challenges. Then we will formally install the new Board of Directors and 2021 SDCBA President Renee N.G. Stackhouse will present the SDCBA’s vision for connecting lawyers and supporting their success and fulfillment in the coming year. It’s poised to be an inspirational and amazing night!
