In December, the SDCBA Board will appoint an eligible attorney to serve the remaining term (January 1, 2021 – December 31, 2022). You can find the qualifications for Board members here. The deadline for eligible candidates to apply is December 1 at 9:00 a.m. Click here to apply to join the Board.

Section and NLD Leadership. The Board has ratified the 2021 Section leadership and the New Lawyer Division leadership, both are listed here. Thank you to everyone who voted in all of these elections and to all of the volunteers who have stepped up to serve!

SDCBA Committee service. We hope you’ll consider applying to serve on an SDCBA Committee. Serving on a committee is a great way to increase your Bar involvement — gaining rewarding experience while making new professional connections and great friendships, too. In closing, as I reported two weeks ago, Governor Newsom nominated Justice Martin Jenkins—who previously served as a superior court judge, a justice on the California Court of Appeal and a U.S. District Court judge—to a vacancy on the California Supreme Court. Justice Jenkins was confirmed on November 10, 2020. You can read more here.

As we head into the holiday season, we wish you a terrific week!
