Welcome back to work after Martin Luther King Jr. Day. MLK Day is the only federal holiday where we are encouraged to see it as “a day on, not a day off” and spent in service to improve our communities.
What is the scope of representation permissible under pro hac vice admission authorizing representation of an organizational defendant? Can such counsel also represent current and former employees of the company?
In the past weeks, the Attorneys General of several states, repaired to the courts to challenge (and defend) the presidential election results. Were there ethical constraints on them?
It’s going to be a new year, which means a new us! We make all sorts of promises to ourselves about the things we’ll do: we’re going to eat healthier, we’re going to work out more, we’re going to spend less time on social media, and so on. In short, we’re going to become better versions of ourselves.
After working for the firm for nearly six years, I was left with two choices: either work for another firm or work for myself. I chose the latter rather quickly after balancing the pros and cons.
To my fellow working Latinas — don’t be shy. Review your last pay raise, do some research as to what your wages should be, and sit down with management to request a pay increase!
This year has been like no other in our lifetime. Many, many dark and tragic events came to the forefront of our collective consciousness. But, out of darkness comes light.
