This marks my last President’s Message for This Week at the Bar. I went back and forth over the last few weeks thinking about what to say and realized there could only be one thing: Thank you.
Thank you to the United States District Court, Southern District of California, 4th District Court of Appeal, and San Diego Superior Court for their collaboration with us this year. Thank you to the many local bar associations who partnered with us in programming this year.
Thank you to the lawyers who volunteered to support our local community and who contributed to Sections and Committees. Thank you to the lawyers … and judge! … who led our organization this year as the Board of Directors, especially those ending their service; Stephanie Atkinson, Hon. Vic Bianchini (Ret.), Nick Fox, Johanna Schiavoni, and Ko Sharif.
Thank you to our incredible staff. We are truly blessed to work with the best of the best. We could not do what we do without your expertise and guidance.
Thank you to YOU, Dear Member. Everything we do during the year is for you. Our success depends on you. Our impact is measured by you. We hope that we have made you proud and met our mission: To connect lawyers and support their success and fulfillment.
Finally, as a point of personal privilege, thank you to all those who mentored me this year, who sent text messages or emails with encouragement or constructive guidance. I appreciate you all so much.
