Dear Member,
We are now less than two weeks away from the July 6th reopening of the SDCBA offices and Bar Center and we could not be more excited! The Bar Center has been spruced up and the staff offices are coming back to life.
We know you have questions about our reopening, and we have answers. Please visit our FAQ page for details about our general policies, use of the Bar Center, and indoor events and meetings. Here is a quick preview:
- Reservations will be required for visiting the Bar Center and space is limited. Our new online reservation system is now open for reservations beginning July 6 and you may make a reservation up to 30 days in advance.
- Masks are required for unvaccinated and not fully vaccinated members and staff unless you have a medical or mental health condition or disability that prevents wearing a mask. Fully vaccinated means you have received, at least 14 days prior, either the second dose in a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine series or a single-dose COVID-19 vaccine. A fully vaccinated member is welcome to wear a mask if they desire.
- Event registrations and Bar Center reservations will require you to acknowledge the COVID risks in attending public events or entering public spaces.
- Indoor events and meetings will resume in the fall. Stay tuned for more details this summer.
Our official reopening celebration, “Here Comes the Sun,” will take place outdoors at Waterfront Park at 5:30 p.m. on August 19. Please save the date for this unprecedented SDCBA Summer Social!
We have spent countless hours planning for the day we can reopen our physical space. We know there will be bumps in the road to normalcy and we thank you for your continued patience and support.
