This year’s law week theme is “Advancing the Rule of Law Now” and we’re asking you to reach out to all the K-12 grade students you know to encourage them to submit a poster or video to our law week contest. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place receive cash prizes for their thoughtful and creative artwork.
Submissions can tackle themes like
- What is the rule of law?
- What is power under the rule of law?
- How has the rule of law shaped and sustained us?
- How might the rule of law shape our future?
The deadline to submit is April 30.
Now that you’ve made a note to buy 22 x 22 poster paper on the way home for the poster-maker in your life or to tell a local teacher about this contest to share with his or her class, I want to ask you: What do you think of when you read the phrase “advancing the rule of law now?”
Because we can’t ask these students to contemplate this deep topic if we are unwilling to do so ourselves.
Yours,
