The San Diego County Bar Foundation has announced its 2021 Distinguished Lawyer Memorial honorees, which include: Jerry Blank, John Cleary, Judge William Enright, Anthony Medina, Brian Monaghan, and Peter Quon, Jr.
Considered one of the highest professional honors that can be received, the DLM is also a primary fundraiser for the good work done by the SDCBF which has granted over $4M throughout San Diego County since its inception. We encourage you to make a donation in the name of one of these truly remarkable honorees and to join us in celebrating their contributions at the DLM Virtual Reception on June 23.
If you are inspired by these honorees and would like a way to give back to our legal community, we have just the thing for you: Serve as a Provisional Licensure Supervisor. We currently have over 30 lawyers who qualify under the new rules, but they need supervisors. Many come from our local law schools and could use your support!
Speaking of local law schools, I hope you will join Thomas Jefferson School of Law, the San Diego County Bar Association, and Lawyers Club of San Diego for the 20th Annual Women and the Law Conference this Friday featuring the Ruth Bader Ginsburg Lecture, a lecture series the late Justice Ginsburg generously established for Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2003. You can learn more and register here.
Yours,
Renée N.G. Stackhouse
2021 SDCBA President
